Skylight Express is the brainchild of such a seeker who did not stop believing in himself and kept trying till he succeeded in building what will be known as one of the biggest logistics companies in the world.ABOUT THE DREAMER WHO DID NOT QUIT…Born and brought up in modern-day Kolkata, Mr. Surashis Chanda has had his fair share of struggles when he started making efforts to get a logistics company of his own registered. He was helped by a lot of people, but it was his own hard work and discipline that got him through the toughest times. With an experience of more than thirty-five years, the Calcutta University Textile Engineering graduate managed to survive every tide which opposed his motion. It was because of his perseverance that he managed to start Skylight Express after working for a lot of years for different organisations and individuals.Speaking of experience, Mr. Chanda has worked for many big names like Arvind Ltd., Bombay Dyeing and Gujarat Synthetics. During his time in these reputed firms, he learned everything that is essential to run a business of his own and excellently applied that knowledge whenever Skylight Express felt the need for it. He has been around for sixty-one years and has experience of more than half his age, which means that he is capable enough to run not just one but many companies, and if everything goes as planned, it will become true soon!THE VISION...It is important to have a plan, and what is even more important is to stick to that plan no matter how tough it gets. Mr. Chanda had a plan to establish a logistics company that would be outfitted with the most advanced technologies available at the time and would work efficiently. Now that he has successfully implemented that plan, he has a vision to expand and diversify. He is recognised as an individual with extensive knowledge in logistics and supply chain management, and he is confident that the vision to expand and diversify Skylight Express will be realised soon with the help of the organizations capable and diligent staff.
